THE POWER OF DISCUSSION
There is a difference between disagreement and disrespect. If we don’t allow disagreement, we close an important route for knowledge and ultimately for our improvement. Discussion encourages knowledge acquisition and personal growth. It helps us to learn from others, share our own perspectives, and gain new insights.
THE DANGER OF SILENCE
Silence can lead to stagnation and lack of growth. When we don’t engage in discussions or share our thoughts, we miss out on opportunities to learn and grow. Silence can also lead to misunderstandings and miscommunications.
THE RISK OF DEBATE
Debate can close important routes of growth and ruin relationships. When we engage in debates solely to prove who is right, we can create divisions and conflicts. Debate should be about what is right, not who is right. It should be about increasing knowledge and understanding, not about ego satisfaction.
THE VALUE OF ADOPTING A GROWTH MINDSET
If any of the statements we conveyed is logically proved as wrong, it does not mean that we are wrong, we don’t have knowledge or we have a low status. We all are humans, we make mistakes. Further, it is often impossible for a person to look at once, all the aspects of a topic or a point. Please remember that even experts do make mistakes in their fields and sometimes misses certain aspects (particularly when they do solo work without having their team involved).
